About Me

Hello, my name is Karen Zhu, a current 2D visual arts student at Ligon MS. Art was the first thing that I was ever interested in, and the reason for my interest was that I find animation films appealing thought it would be cool if I could draw those characters, flowers, animals, buildings, etc. in film. I clearly remember that this interest began at the age of 5.  Oddly enough, I also remembered that I was drawing flowers repeatedly one day at that age, over and over again, nonstop, and then it was after that day I had begun nonstop imitating more and more images, pictures. cartoons. other artwork, etc. I find myself moderate in the ability to facsimile, but a lack in creativity, and so currently I am working towards shaping something of my own originality. In visual arts, I think I am strongest in drawing since that is what I have been doing the longest.  I also like painting, but am not as strong in it.  As I go on to high school I hope to continue further studies in these two fields.
